You're right, in that good public school teachers do deserve more money, but bad ones certainly deserve less. Unfortunately, teacher's unions won't let that happen; I guess because all public school teachers are from Lake Wobegone and are all above average.
Have you seen "Waiting for Superman?" Watch the movie, and then try to explain the immorally wretched education to which the unions have consigned the poor and black.
